Hives are raised, itchy welts that may appear suddenly and move around the skin; they can be short-lived or recur.
What we consider
We review timing, possible triggers, medicines, infections and whether allergy evaluation is warranted. Recurrent hives often have no single identifiable trigger.
Care at Revive
Care may include trigger review, symptom management and allergy or dermatology referral. Swelling of the throat or difficulty breathing requires emergency care.
